Subject: A method for creating streamlines?



   I'm interested in creating "streamlines" around a Lightwave object. What
I'm after is simulating flow visualization. The streamlines don't have to
be accurate to fifteen decimal places since the engineers here can already
get that stuff from the Cray (but it doesn't look nearly as nice as a
Lightwave rendering 8^>).
   Does anyone have a relatively easy method for creating these? What I'm
after is a relatively thin line of finite length that would "flow" around
or past an object. If there's something in the Lightwave portion of the
Toaster manual that covers this, just point it out.
   I've had some success with doing this in DPIV and overlaying it on a
rendered frame, but I'd like to be able to take advantage of all three
dimensions: move the camera around the object while the streamlines flow
by.
